We know it will take many hands to lift our community up. But we also know the northern Minnesotans are resourceful and resilient, and in the face of challenging times, we are still finding ways to support each other and our communities. That’s why United Way is taking part in #SpringForwardMN, a rallying call to action to continue to come together in this unprecedented time.

What we’re facing…

  • 1 in 2 children in the Itasca area are food insecure
  • Over 5,800 of Itasca County citizens are living in poverty
  • Nearly 5,000 residents are one crisis away from falling into poverty

While our region’s needs will keep changing, one thing will remain: We will continue to stand with you and ensure people get the resources they need to thrive.

Together, we can help people get back on their feet, learn, grow, and become financially stable.

Addressing The Needs

The generosity of individuals has always been critical to our work in the community. Since this time last year,  your support has allowed us to fight food insecurity, provide support for people in crisis, mobilize volunteer action, and more.
