Change close to home
We’re creating lasting impact by focusing on ALICE households—hardworking individuals and families who still struggle to meet basic needs—throughout Itasca County and nearby communities. From a child in Bigfork learning to read to a family in Coleraine saving for their first home, we’re building a stronger, more resilient region where everyone has the chance to thrive.
WHO IS ALICE?
ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. These neighbors earn above poverty but still can’t afford basics like housing, food, or child care. Together, we can help close the gaps.
40% of local households
In 2023, 40% of Itasca County households lived below the ALICE Threshold—13% in poverty and 27% ALICE. These hardworking families are the focus of our program and initiative investments.
