WHAT WE DO
United Way of 1000 Lakes fights for the education, health, and financial stability of everyone in the Itasca Area.
Through strategic partnerships and collaborative work, we bring the many voices of our community together to find common ground, develop a strategic vision for change and make meaningful progress, while activating individuals and organizations with the opportunity to give, advocate and volunteer to resource this work and change lives across our region.

Dining United: October-November 18th
Throughout October and November, visit one of the participating Dining United restaurants for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and a portion of your order will be donated to United Way. Get your family, friends, or coworkers together for a good time and an even better cause! The more you eat, the more they donate.

Acts of Kindness Week: November 15th-19th
Join United Way in initiating a ‘chain of kindness’ as part of the Minnesota United Acts of Kindness Week, promoting kindness, generosity, and love through acts of kindness toward friends and strangers alike.

Hooked on Itasca: January 28th-February 6th
Hooked on Itasca is a virtual ice fishing tournament for kids and adults. Using a mobile device and app, anglers will fish for a chance to win cash and prizes! Whether you’re a die-hard fisherman or only occasionally drop a line, you don’t want to miss this exciting event.
Our Community's Stories
As a community, we are all interconnected. Each of our actions impacts others. We rely on each other to thrive, and when one of us is helped, we are all lifted.
