Across our Itasca County service area, we’re working to improve education outcomes, access to healthcare, and economic opportunities for all men, women, and children. We build capacity, facilitate partnerships, and invest back into the organizations who are working on the ground to address our community's most pressing needs to create a vibrant community for all.
IMPACT GRANT FUNDING
United Way's Impact Grants are community investments in local, effective, results-oriented programs that focus on improving Education, Health and Financial Stability over a two-year period.
We believe that multi-year grant partnerships are a best practice, and give our partners the time to fully focus on planning, delivery, evaluation, and outcomes.
RESOURCES FOR NON-PROFITS
United Way's Resource Library houses a wide range of tools and equipment including projector, sound system, convening tools, and meeting space. Open to all area non-profits and community groups, the library focuses specifically on tools that support programs and operations.
NONPROFIT CAPACITY BUILDING
United Way is committed to building a thriving community. This includes offering assistance to local nonprofits in the areas of impact storytelling, professional development workshops, and volunteer recruitment, promotion, and recognition. Contact United Way staff with questions or email info@uwlakes.org.
UNITED WAY VOLUNTEER PLATFORM
United Way recently launched Bonfire, a volunteer initiative to better connect volunteers and organizations with each other. Organizations looking to recruit volunteers and/or track volunteer hours are encouraged to create a free organizational profile and post opportunities.
