United Way Awards Scholarships to Support 2-GEN Coalition Members in Family-Centered Coaching Training
United Way of 1000 Lakes is excited to announce the recipients of scholarships for the Family-Centered Coaching (FCC) Mindset and Toolkit Cohort. These scholarships, awarded to members of the 2-Gen Coalition, provide access to an intensive training program designed to strengthen organizations’ ability to empower families through holistic, collaborative support.
The scholarship recipients include Haley Page from Bigfork Valley Hospital, Denise Rodgers from Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency (AEOA), and Jaeger Jergenson from Deer River Full-Service Community School (FSCS). They will participate in The Prosperity Agenda’s FCC Cohort, an immersive training program designed to equip participants with the tools and strategies to implement a two-generation (2-Gen) approach in their work.
“Congratulations to the scholarship recipients,” expressed Kim Brink Smtih, executive director United Way of 1000 Lakes. “We look forward to seeing the impact of this training as we collectively work toward a future where every family has the opportunity to thrive.”
By embracing family-centered strategies, this program fosters collaboration, empathy, and effectiveness, ensuring that families receive comprehensive, tailored support on their path to financial stability and long-term success.
Through this investment, United Way continues to champion capacity-building initiatives that reinforce the power of coaching, peer learning, and shared best practices. As scholarship recipients complete their training, they will contribute to the 2-Gen Coalition’s ongoing efforts, sharing insights and fostering meaningful change within their organizations and communities.
