“Show Some Love” to United Way by Donating to CFC

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) celebrates its 58th year of federal workplace charitable giving, and every year, federal employees dig deep in their pockets to support people in need around the corner, across the nation, and around the globe.

From now through January 12, 2020, members of the military, agency employees as well as retirees can pledge to one of the thousands of worthy charities, like United Way of 1000 Lakes (#22378), that have been vetted by the CFC. This year’s “Show Some Love” campaign encourages the federal community to give back through monetary and volunteer contributions to causes or places they care most about. Similarly, state employees, including university faculty and staff, are able to give through the Minnesota Combined Charities campaign.

Having a local CFC or Minnesota Combined Charities organization means federal and state workers have the opportunity to support the community in which they live, work, and play and further progress toward community goals in Education, Health, and the Financial Stability of every person. Every dollar and hour donated impacts thousands of individuals through more than 22 United Way funded organizations, including the Boys and Girls Clubs, Itasca County Family YMCA, ElderCircle, Kiesler Wellness Center, and Habitat for Humanity.

Federal employee participants may choose to donate to United Way by way of payroll deduction, credit/debit card, ACH transfer from a bank account, or annuity/retirement pay at opm.gov/ShowSomeLoveCFC and use charity code #22378.

State employees can give through payroll deduction at the State of Minnesota Employee Self Services website.
