Announcing the Proud Partner Spotlight Video Series: A journey through community impact
At United Way of 1000 Lakes, partnerships are at the heart of everything we do. We are thrilled to introduce our Proud Partner Spotlight Video Series, designed to highlight the incredible programs and organizations making a profound difference in the lives of individuals and families in our region.
Through the end of the year, we will be releasing new episodes, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the programs and nonprofits supported by United Way’s Community Investment Fund. This fund, fueled by the generous contributions of our donors, supports high-quality programs that align with our mission to improve education, health, and financial stability for people across greater Itasca County.
Why This Series Matters
Our Impact Partners go above and beyond to meet the needs of individuals and families with limited resources—especially those in the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) population. These are our neighbors who work hard but struggle to make ends meet, facing barriers to education, healthcare, and financial stability.
Each program featured in the series has demonstrated a commitment to our four pillar areas:
- Ready Kids, Resilient Families: Serving children and families through initiatives like early education, after-school programs, and parenting resources.
- Healthy Minds & Bodies: Promoting health by offering access to essential healthcare services, from mental health support to primary care.
- Family Financial Stability: Strengthening financial stability by providing job readiness training, financial counseling, and housing support.
- Safety Net: Ensuring a safety net for those facing crises, ensuring access to basic needs like shelter, food, and emergency services.
By collaborating with these organizations, we are working toward a future where all individuals and families in our community have the resources and opportunities to thrive.
