Golf Fore Minnesota Supports Local Organizations

Golfers can support United Way of 1000 Lakes and Second Harvest North Central Food Bank by participating in Golf Fore Minnesota, a virtual fundraising event. During the week of July 13th through 19th, the effort will raise funds for Minnesota communities working to respond and rebuild during the health and economic crisis. Those wishing to participate pay a registration fee and have the option to pledge additional funds per hole played. Funds raised will be distributed to United Ways and food banks across the state, to support community programs aiding at-risk populations.

Golf Fore Minnesota participants can golf alone, or in groups of up to four people, partaking in the event on their own time at the golf course of their choice. “We’re thankful for this partnership and for the opportunity to bring more resources to our communities,” stated Kim Brink Smith, United Way’s executive director. “All ages can get outside, play a round of golf at their favorite course, and have fun, all while supporting a good cause.”

Amateur and seasoned golfers alike looking to golf for a good cause can learn more and sign up online at golfforeminnesota.com. Those not interested in golfing are invited to show their support by pledging to a participating friend or family member.
