“Colored Lines: Diversity in Itasca” Screening and Discussion

Hosted by United Way of 1000 Lakes and the Grand Rapids-based Community Action Team

February 14th, 2 – 4 p.m.
Virtual Event (Zoom)

United Way’s partner agency staff and boards are invited to a screening of the locally produced film “Colored Lines: Diversity in Itasca” that explores challenges faced by black, Indigenous, and people of color living, working, and going to school in the Itasca area. The thirty-minute documentary features area residents talking about their lived experiences in our community. The screening will be followed by a facilitated group discussion led by the Grand Rapids-based Community Action Team members. They have spent the last two years listening, learning, and adapting as they work to support a more welcoming community where everyone feels they belong.
