Campaign Themes
Having a theme is one way to make your workplace campaign more fun and engaging for your coworkers, giving them something fun to look forward to. Here are a few ideas for how themes you can base your campaign on to generate interest and engagement.
Make 2020 Brighter
2020 has been a difficult year, to say the least. Join United Way’s Be the Light: 2020 Challenge and encourage your coworkers to end the year on a positive note. Supporters can donate $20.20 or any amount towards our Stronger United campaign, building hope for a better tomorrow.
Go the extra mile: spread the love and challenge friends to join you on social media with #bethelight, #2020challenge, and #strongerunited.
Home for the Holidays
If your company’s campaign takes place during the holiday season, bring in some classic holiday traditions to make your campaign even more fun! Have an ugly sweater contest over Zoom or in-person, raffle off a mystery present, or invite donors to sponsor Christmas decorations at the office or around the community.
For extra engagement: Get your team to take part in a volunteer project, such as delivering holiday meals, making cards, or hosting a toy or gift drive.
Campaign Challenge
Competitive, fun-loving workplaces might enjoy a campaign challenge, in which, throughout the duration of your campaign, employees have the chance to complete tasks in order to gather points and compete for prizes. Tasks might include making a volunteer profile on Bonfire, pledging, assembling a care package, or completing a website scavenger hunt. Get in touch with United Way to plan a Challenge that suits your workplace!
For bonus points: Tie your Campaign Challenge to our 2020 Be the Light Challenge and have 20 days of challenges, or 20 challenges available to complete.
These are just a few possible campaign themes – and if you need assistance executing one of these or another theme, let us know by emailing info@uwlakes.org or calling 218-999-7570. For more campaign tools and ideas, visit Campaign HQ.
