What inspired you to be involved with United Way?
I’ve been involved in a variety of volunteer roles throughout the community over the years. What drew me to United Way was its strong focus on creating real and lasting impact right here in our local area.
What is the most rewarding thing you have taken from this experience?
Although I’ve only recently joined the United Way Board, it has already been rewarding to meet the other members. Each brings unique backgrounds and skills, yet all share the same passion for helping others.
What is one word you would use to sum up United Way’s work?
Connected
What impresses you most about the Itasca Area?
I’m impressed by how many people are willing to give their time, energy, and resources to support local volunteer organizations. And, of course, I also appreciate the area’s many opportunities for outdoor recreation.
What is one thing about United Way that you think most people don’t know?
I don’t think many people realize just how local United Way’s work is. Every dollar raised stays right here in our community to support our neighbors through vital programs that help families, strengthen nonprofits, and make a lasting difference.
What advice would you give to a potential donor who is considering investing in United Way?
Don’t underestimate the power of even small contributions—whether of time or money. Every gift adds up and makes a big difference in the lives of people right here in our community. I’d encourage you to get involved and see the impact for yourself.
